To kick things off here is No. 10 the Volkswagen Super Beetle.
A lot of people have started their old car journey with a bug. It’s the archetypal starter classic. It is cheap to run, easy to fix and full of character.
The early cars, especially the oval and split rear window cars, are the most desirable and expensive of the beetles but we have gone for the last of the line, the Super Beetle or 1303.
The Super Beetle made it first appearance in 1971 with its new rear suspension and McPherson struts upfront. In 1973 it gained its famous curved front screen and elephant feet rear lights. Being the most modern of the Beetles and representing a break from VW traditions the Super Beetle has been less relatively unloved, but we think they are fantastic.
